Bernice departed for England in 2001. For four years, Bernice enjoyed working in an antique business, situated in the village of Hartley Wintney, a popular "destination" stop for antique buyers from America and Europe. Working in "the trade" also taught Bernice invaluable information about antiques in general and enabled her to establish sources for obtaining the wares now sold in the "Vintage" shop.Whilst soaking up the atmosphere and history of England and Europe, Bernice gained a qualification in Interior Design from the Inchbald School of Design in 2003.

In 2004 Bernice returned to her native New Zealand to pursue her love of antiques and interiors with the opening of Vintage Antiques & Interiors in November 2005.

Vintage Antiques offers a variety of items to suit fellow antique lovers and those interested in interior design. You could describe the style of "Vintage", as French country with a dash of English manor house. The furniture styles and decorative items on offer at "Vintage" are as diverse as our housing is today -whether that is inner city apartment or farmhouse cottage.

Bernice travels to Europe twice a year to source the stock for "Vintage" and is happy to search for special pieces for your home.
